PDF to Excel Converter Online
Pull the tables out of a PDF and into a spreadsheet you can work in. We find the tables and extract only those — no attempt to force the whole page into a grid, which is what makes most converters unusable.
- Finds tables with or without borders Ruling lines first, then column alignment — so borderless tables are not missed.
- Numbers stay numbers Amounts, quantities and percentages arrive as real values, so SUM works immediately.
- One sheet per table Every table on its own named sheet with a frozen, filterable header row.

Excel keeps types and structure. CSV is a plain text dump.

How detection works
- • We look for ruling lines first — the strongest signal, and what invoices, statements and exported reports use.
- • If a document has none, we fall back to detecting column alignment, which recovers borderless tables.
- • A page of continuous prose is reported as "no tables" rather than sliced into a fake one.
- • A scan has no text to read — run OCR first.
Extraction is usually a few seconds. Nothing is charged if no tables are found.

How to convert a PDF table to Excel
- Upload the PDF containing your tables.
- Pick Excel for a working spreadsheet, or CSV for plain text.
- Press extract. Your file downloads automatically, with each table on its own sheet.
Why the converter extracts tables only
Converters that try to map an entire PDF page onto a grid produce a spreadsheet with one word per cell and merged blocks everywhere. It is technically a conversion and practically useless.
We detect where the tables actually are and extract only those. Invoices, bank statements, financial reports, price lists and exported data all come through as clean rows and columns, with the surrounding prose left out.

Frequently asked questions
- Can the PDF to Excel converter extract tables without borders?
- Yes. The PDF to Excel converter checks ruling lines first because they are the most reliable signal. For borderless tables, it detects columns from text alignment and flags that result because it deserves a quick review.
- Will it turn a page of text into a fake table?
- No. Alignment-based detection is credulous by nature, so every candidate has to look like real tabular data before we offer it. If your document has no tables, you get told that — and you are not charged for it.
- Am I charged if no tables are found?
- No. Detection runs before anything is billed, so a document with nothing to extract costs you nothing.
- Can I extract from a scanned PDF?
- Not directly — a scan holds no text to read. Run it through OCR first to add a text layer, then extract from the result.
- What happens to my file?
- It is uploaded, read and deleted. No copies are kept and nothing is indexed.
