How to batch process PDF files online

  1. Add between 2 and 10 PDFs to the upload area.
  2. Pick one operation — compress, watermark, page numbers or PDF/A — and set its options.
  3. Press Run batch and download the ZIP when it completes.

Why batch process PDFs

Repetition is where document work goes wrong. Watermarking forty tender documents one at a time invites a missed file, an inconsistent mark or a mistyped label, and it takes an afternoon. Applying a single operation across the whole set in one request guarantees every file gets identical treatment, and returns one archive you can hand straight on.

About limits and partial results

Each run takes 2 to 10 files, up to 15 MiB per file and 50 MiB in total, and files are processed one after another so a large batch takes correspondingly longer. Individual files are isolated: if one fails the rest still complete, which means a successful download does not by itself prove every file worked. Every ZIP therefore contains _manifest.json recording each file's outcome and the reason for any failure — check it before assuming the set is complete. OCR, interactive editing and password operations are deliberately excluded from batch runs.

Frequently asked questions

Which tools are available for batch PDF processing online?
Online batch PDF processing applies one operation to every selected file: compression, a text watermark, page numbers, or PDF/A conversion. OCR, interactive editing, and password operations are deliberately not included.
What are the batch limits?
Each run accepts 2–10 PDFs, up to 15 MiB per file and 50 MiB in total. Files are processed sequentially, so large batches can take substantially longer than a single document.
What happens if one file fails?
Other files continue processing and the server may still return a successful ZIP download. Every ZIP includes _manifest.json, which records each file's outcome and explains any partial failures.
Does batch processing use credits?
No credits are consumed, but Batch Processing requires premium access. All selected PDFs are uploaded to the server so the chosen operation can be applied.
