Why convert Excel to PDF before sharing
Sending a spreadsheet hands over everything: your formulas, your hidden columns, your assumptions, and the ability to change any of it. A PDF sends the result. It is why quotes, invoices, budgets and board packs go out as PDFs even when they were built in Excel.
A note on very wide sheets
PDF pages have fixed dimensions, so a sheet wider than the page has to break across pages — the same thing that happens when you print from Excel. If a layout matters to you, set the print area, orientation and scaling in Excel and save before converting; those settings are respected. Anything already set up to print cleanly will convert cleanly.

- Yes. When you convert Excel to PDF online, every sheet is included in workbook order. A four-sheet workbook produces a PDF covering all four rather than only the worksheet that happened to be selected when you saved.
- What happens to my formulas?

=SUM(C2:C40)appears as its total. The formula itself is not carried into the PDF, which is usually the entire point of sending one. - Do currency and percentage formats hold?
- Yes. Number formatting, thousands separators, decimal places, date formats, cell fills and borders are all preserved.
- Which formats can I upload?
- .xlsx and .xlsm from modern Excel, .xls from older versions, .xltx templates, OpenDocument .ods and plain .csv. The file's real contents are checked rather than its name, so a mislabelled upload is explained rather than silently mangled.
